2008 End of the Year Goals

Hi All, it was suggested that we kind of theme each month to keep our blog interesting. So, i'm proposing the first theme of this month as we share those end of the year goals we may have. now, you don't have to bear all, obviously. but, share the ones you can. Thanks!(p.s. feel free to post another theme as well...)


Lisa's '08 EOY Goals:
1) Show MORE of the love of God
2) Be more frugal and finacially responsible
3) Enjoy family and friends more
4) Enjoy life ("I have come that they might have life more abundantly!")
5) Not let things get to me as much. "Let it rolll..." (right, jacks!?!)

Testing Out the New User Permissions!

Ok, so Blogger has this new thing were a blog can have multiple authors. I was thinking that would be of great use to us for THIS blog, because in this way, we can be notified at our personal emails addresses when someone else posts here.

weekend w/ Springfield gals :)

The gals from Springfield were here last weekend. Here are a few pics of us at Navy Pier where we saw the Cirque Shanghai (Chinese Acrobats) show....pretty awesome and somewhat painful.

The night before Mares and I joined Joy, Lezlie, & Sandra for scrapbooking. I have to admit I was NOT into the idea. But, knowing dinner was going to be served got me pumped into going. Now, I'm officially 'hooked' on the whole scrapbooking thing. Well, at least until I finish my current book. :)

you're right, lee. the jubilee was good. so good.

so, gals, i just wanted to encourage everyone to keep fighting. from what i've seen, heard, observed...we're all literally fighting (imagine sis. audrey saying it..that's how im trying to emphasize that word).

dont let the devil trick you into thinking you're the only one. no one cares. maybe i cant always tell you that i'm praying. it could be that im just going through too. my battle may not be as obvious.

but we do care. i know we do. i realized today that he wants to isolate us mentally and have us think that everyone else is a little better off, i'm the only one going through. but we're in this together. i need your prayers. you need my prayers. i love you all.

I totally enjoyed the jubilee!!! Ever year I say "this was the best one", but God contiues to amaze me everytime.

just wanted you all to know that i am taking my pen pals to six flags this weekend. I was able to get tix for $25.00 each. Anyone is welcome that would like to join us.

also on the last friday of july i would like to take my girls to medival times. i have a coupon that will let teens under 18 go for free with each paying adult, so this is another thing we can take the girls too.

I am making these sacrifices so that they will see salvation can be fun and it will hopefully encourage them to get saved or stay saved.
